When Pedro, a humble waiter in Paris, offers to take care of his friends’ pets, a cat and an exotic orange fish, things get complicated when the animals disappear! Now, Pedro needs to search for Paris, using whatever investigative skills a waiter might have, to find pets before his friends return from vacation! Will he be able to find the animals in time? Find out for yourself what happened to the runaway animals, while exploring Paris with Pedro and learning a new language at the same time! This story is not only for those who love the mysteries, but also for those who love learning new languages!
Marianna Bergues, a 23-year-old student, lives in Narberth, Pennsylvania. She always loved to write. When she was seven years old, her father told her the story of her friend in Paris, who volunteered to care for her friends’ pets. Her mother (Roseland Bergues) encouraged her to write a draft of the story. History was written, kept and forgotten. In 2014, the rediscovered story sparked Marianna’s interest and imagination again. Both her mother and father encouraged her to finish the story and share it with others. She gives credit for the story to her father, Christian Bergues, born and raised in France. It is thanks to him that this book exists. It was his inspiration and co-authorship that made this book possible.
